The Story Of The Three Bears
Three bears, including a Little, Small, Wee Bear, live peacefully in their cozy wood house. They prepare hot porridge for breakfast but step out to let it cool down. While they are away, a naughty little old Woman sneaks into their home. She finds the food and decides to help herself without permission. She tastes the Great, Huge Bear's porridge and complains it is too hot. She tries the Middle Bear's portion and finds it far too cold. The Little, Small, Wee Bear’s bowl is just right, so she eats it all up. Next, she sits in the bears' chairs to rest her feet. The big chair is too hard and the middle one is too soft for her comfort. She settles into the wee bear's chair until the bottom breaks under her weight. Tired from her snack, she wanders upstairs to find a place to nap. She rejects the Great Bear’s high bed and the Middle Bear’s short bed. She finally falls asleep in the wee bear’s perfectly sized bed. The bears return home hungry and discover their breakfast is gone. They notice disturbances in their chairs and feel uneasy about the intrusion. Heading upstairs, they realize someone has been sleeping in their beds. The Little, Small, Wee Bear shouts when he sees the intruder in his bed. The noise wakes the frightened old Woman instantly. She jumps out the window and runs away into the woods forever. The bears are left alone in their quiet home once more.
